The Western University Research Park is also affiliated with two larger sized Technology Parks: the 220-acre Sarnia Research & Business Park and the 130-acre Advanced Manufacturing Park in London. Advanced Manufacturing Park

The Research Park is affiliated with a 130-acre Technology Park operated as a joint initiative between the City of London, Western University, and Fanshawe College.

Advanced Manufacturing Park

The Advanced Manufacturing Park is approximately midway between Toronto and Detroit, at the junction of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Highway 401, one of the busiest commercial transportation routes in North America.  The Advanced Manufacturing Park includes serviced industrial land available for lease or for sale and can accommodate large scale advanced manufacturing facilities and research centres, along with opportunities for academic-industrial collaboration, and will be the site for a number of unique large-scale validation facilities owned by Western University, including the $30 million WindEEE dome, the most advanced wind tunnel in the world, and the Fraunhofer Project Centre, an international composite materials commercialization centre.

Sarnia Research & Business Park

The Research Park is affiliated with a 214-acre Technology Park owned by the City of Sarnia and zoned for targeted commercial and
industrial use.

Sarnia Research & Business Park

The Sarnia Research & Business Park immediately surrounds the Sarnia-Lambton Campus of the Research Park and is located across Highway 40 from Lambton College.  Companies locating at the Sarnia Research & Business Park will be provided with the benefit of collocation with the Research Park while being able to own land and construct their own facilities.  The Sarnia Research & Business Park provides companies with easy access to Highway 402 and is positioned as a gateway to Canada’s largest traditional chemical and biofuels cluster located along Highway 40. One of North America’s busiest commercial border crossings into the United States is conveniently located only a few minutes away.
